(More customer reviews)This will be brief because on the two quart sauce pan product page, I wrote a detailed review describing the particular attributes of the Johnson and Rose stainless steel pots. So, rather than wasting your time reading the same thing, I refer you to that product page for more general characteristics of the brand. Before buying, I already owned a five year old set of a well-known brand of stainless cookware. It was still serviceable, but I wanted to fill in areas where I had nothing or needed something better. So, the Johnson and Rose pieces were purchased one at a time with a particular purpose in mind. After ordering and using the first pan, I was so pleased I bought two more sizes and have more on my list.
For the last twelve months that I've owned the pan, it, like my two quart pan, is constantly in use. I bought this particular pot primarily for use in candy making. It is easy to burn candy syrups in a thin pan because cooking at high heat for an extended period of time requires constancy. A heavy base is essential to maintaining a high temperature without frequent burner adjustments. So far, I haven't had a single burned batch of brittle, or over-cooked fudge. The pan performed as I hoped. This brand doesn't disappoint.
