(More customer reviews)I bought this to make Valentine's Day heart-shaped chocolate truffles. This makes the perfect size truffle - about 1" deep. All the other heart-shaped chocolate molds I saw were too shallow for truffles. This was my first time using a silicone mold for chocolate, and I found that the chocolate doesn't release on its own. After the truffle was completely ready to come out (filled, capped and set), I had to push each form inside out to get the truffle out. You have to be very gentle doing this so you don't break the chocolate. But it works. You might want your shells to be on the thicker side so they are less likely to break. The one thing I don't like about the mold is that each heart has a teardrop-shaped cutout on it, which I wish it didn't have.
