(More customer reviews)I purchased the red with gold. They are very red! The gold stitching is even. I haven't washed them yet, so I'm not sure how well they will survive, but I'm hopeful that they will wash well and lie as flat and evenly as they do when they are new. They are the perfect size to hold a plate, silverware and a drinking glass. I purchased them to protect my wood table that I just refinished.
Update: The placemats washed beautifully. The stains came out without damaging or bleaching the fabric and they came out of they dryer as flat and as square as they were when they were new. I'll be buying more!
