(More customer reviews)I got this to act as an accent piece by the sink to hold jewelry, etc. when washing hands. It works well for that, but not much else. The details are not only painted but raised so it seems it would be hard to use as a eating plate. And when they say 8 1/4"- they mean it!! It is not large by any means! Overall nice to look at, but no real purpose as far as I can tell.
