(More customer reviews)I just received my red teapot today and it arrived in perfect condition, even considering that it's box was very loosly packed in a much larger box (unusual for Amazon). One thing that I was concerned about was whether the hole in the top for filling was completely round (it is) or half-round (as some are). I recently purchased some "Finum Goldton Filters" here on Amazon and I hoped I would be able to fit the filter in the teapot to steep the loose tea leaves (also purchased here on Amazon; Red & Green Co. Organic Oolong Tea-Fabulous). Works perfectly! I'll enjoy using this teapot for a long time; you would too.
P.S. No, there isn't a screen, grate or other obstruction at the base of the spout so it is easy (with a narrow brush like Casabella 20530 Soft Tip Brushes, Set of 3) to keep clean.
