(More customer reviews)I have a rather a rather involved story about this quite lovely cologne, Agua de Ruda. When I was a kid I sometimes went to the place of worship of my grandmother. Her place of worship was a bit different from the local church. She belonged to the "I AM" Activity, a rather wacky religion which believed in a plethora of "Ascended Masters". One of my strongest memories of the "Sanctuary" where they held their "classes" was how it smelled. It had a very distinctive smell. I liked it, but never could figure out what it was. And I never did, for about thirty years. But because I like the other cologne that comes in these little bottles, called Florida Water, I tried this one called Agua de Ruda. That is, water of the Rue flower. When I first put it on the old mystery was solved. This is the smell. I guess they used the stuff liberally in their Sanctuary. It is quite striking in fragrance, pleasant but a little spiky too. I love it now. I have looked online about it and apparently it is popular with diverse people who believe it is good for keeping bad energies away. Quien sabe?? But I can say that when I wear it, and suddenly have to deal with an off-putting person, as I did today, they seem to keep their distance a bit more when I am wearing this lovely scent. Perhaps I am amplifying the effect, but after wearing it for a number of years, I don't think so. It is pleasant but strong stuff. Highly recommended.
