(More customer reviews)I was a bit dubious about how the number would turn out of the Lekue Silicon Numbers Mold, but it worked out great! To make one number, I took two small Dove dark chocolates (the ones with the little inspirational messages in the wrapper), put into a small Pyrex cup in the microwave on high until mostly melted, then swirled it around to melt completely. I did not grease the mold. I poured the melted chocolate directly into a number, gently coaxing it in with the small flat back of a spoon. When it was all in there smooth, I shelved it at the top of the fridge and let it be, maybe a couple hours. I put my fingers under very cold water (and dried completely) before carefully peeling the number out of the silicon mold by pushing the mold inside out. It came out in one piece and there was no discoloration of the chocolate. It is slightly smaller than a candle number. I put frosting on the front of the chocolate number to make it stand out and stuck it into the cake. It stayed standing up no problem, being moved from a counter and dropped on the table. And the birthday boy got his special chocolate number treat, YUM! I especially like how you can use whatever cheap little birthday candles you have around the house, and make the chocolate number special for the birthday person. I recommend it!
