(More customer reviews)I ordered these in the plum/linen. The "linen" colored part is completely sheer. You can see right through them. The material is faux silk and something that looks and feels like mesh. The picture is very deceiving not only for this feature but for the color. The purple is lovely but the "linen" is definitely a tan. Not even a light beige... it is brown. The picture makes it look like a creamy natural color. It is the color of a burlap sack. I hung a plain white curtain liner behind it (for thermal properties too, as these certainly had none...) and it looks better. I definitely recommend a liner because of the mesh-like, see-thru character. And don't be picky on color. But can't beat the price, and the quality is pretty satisfactory.
