(More customer reviews)These gloves are effective in protecting the wrists and forearm. The gloves themselves are not really thorn "proof" as they say, but are effective against most. They are comfortable, though, and to be more thornproof than this they would have to be unacceptably stiff. The cuffs are around 8 or so inches long up the sleeve. I'd have been happier with even longer, but this not bad at all. All in all a very good choice, and very nice looking.
