(More customer reviews)First of all I would like to say that the person who negatively reviewed this item must not hve use it correctly. PLUS this is the REFILL for the kit, so it won't work unless you have the kit with the jar that has the metal disk in it. Also you heat it up in your microwave and this really makes the gold adhear perfectly. I had no problem with the instructions, as they are the same ones as come with the kit. The refill is great as you don't have to buy an entire new kit and the refill is a great price!
If you use it the way it is intended and follow the instructions you can't go wrong. Hint, if you leave a piece in too long and it comes out dark just work it over with a cloth dremmel buffer or a treated jewelry cleaning cloth and it will come out great and give it a wonderful shine.I use it all the time on all kinds of metal. It has even done a wonderful job on costume jewelry where I had no idea what the base metal was. It's superb on sterling silver jewelry and I used it on a heavy Hawaiian Jewelry bracelet and it looks just as good as my 18kt ones. You may have to "dip" it more than once to get a real gold look but not much else. It's better to dip it more than once than it is to leave it in too long. I highly reccommend this product.
