(More customer reviews)This china is so gorgeous! No wimpy colors here, the blues & purple are bright & beautiful. It is too good to just sit in the china cabinet; it makes every cup of tea, coffee or eggnog a delight. Enjoying it is one way of being mindful, present and grateful. I have had this china for about 15 years and just never grow tired of it. The gold edges have not worn out. I do follow the manufacturer's washing instructions exactly, so I'm sure that makes a difference. (Hand wash these dishes for long-term enjoyment). There was a time that the pattern was discontinued, but it is back in production so thankfully, there are no worries about replacing broken dishes. We have only had one break; it helps that we are careful. We have not had problems with knife marks on the plates. I should note that I do not serve anything that is difficult to cut on these, though. I'm just not brave enough! Yes, we'll eat chicken on them, but not t-bone. So, even after 15 years of frequent use, I would still use this china for the most distinguished visitor. If you know the pope, president, somebody.... ? Send 'em over!
